Matthew Pratt Guterl

== Background ==
Guterl graduated from Richard Stockton College in 1993 with a B.A. in Historical Studies, and in 1999 from Rutgers University with a Ph.D. in History.〔 He has written extensively about growing up in New Jersey in the 1970s as a member of a large, multiracial, adoptive family. Prior to working at to Indiana University, Guterl was an Assistant Professor of Comparative American Cultures at Washington State University.
